Call for submissions will start next at the beginning of next school year in the 2011 Fall semester, in October.

Survey Results:

Recently we had students take a survey for The Laureate. Questions were asked about genre and types, as well as about their favorite authors. Students were polled at several English events, and through a mass email of the department. Thank you to all who helped us out!

Attention all Laureate Lovers, 

Come support the authors published in the 2011 Laureate as they read their work April 13 from 7pm-9pm in the Lee Honors College Lounge free of cost. There will also be free food! Copies of the Laureate are also free anytime and will be available at the release party.

Where are copies of The Laureate available?

We will be holding a reading for all authors in April.  Copies will be available there.  Authors will receive email invitations to reading shortly after spring break.

After sending in my revised accepted pieces, I have not heard anything back. Is this normal or have I missed something? Also, when will the next edition of the Laureate be published?

You should not expect to hear anything back after sending in your revised pieces.  If you are worried that something went wrong, however, feel free to email us at our gmail account.

The 2011 edition of The Laureate will be published in April.

What must you submit along with your piece of poetry/fiction (cover letter, personal info, etc.)?

If you have a cover letter or professional biography that you would like to include in the body of the email, we would welcome it. However, it is not required and we will be sure to give your submission a fair review either way.

We will be contacting authors before the end of the December.

Submission Deadline Extended

The deadline for submissions has been extended to December 15th.  We are also accepting longer submissions at this time.
